Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization Provider Course 

This one-day course gives healthcare providers the knowledge and skills they need for emergency evaluation and initial stabilization of seriously ill infants and children.

 

PEARS is ideal for

  • Health professionals who care for children that are not seriously ill.

  • Health professionals who are interested in taking the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and are looking for a course that will help them build knowledge and skills in preparation for PALS

  • Health profession students interested in pursuing careers caring for children

 

Content

  • Pediatric assessment

  • Recognition and management of respiratory problems

  • Recognition and management of shock

  • Recognition and management of cardiac arrest

  • Resuscitation team concept

 

Prerequisite

To participate in this course, you must be a recognized health professional, or a student enrolled in their final year of an accredited educational program to become a recognized health professional. 

 

Material

PEARS Provider Manual, published by the American Heart Association is included in the fee.

Cancellation  Policy

We understand that life happens and that sometimes you may need to cancel or change your course date. We require 30 days notice for a refund. We will charge a processing fee for the cancellation. The amount varies depending on the course and cost: the registration fee costs are $5 plus 3.95% of the course fee, as well as the costs of any used manuals or license keys. Should you need to cancel after the thirty days, we will gladly provide you with a credit towards any of our upcoming classes within two weeks notice.
