NRP

Neonatal Resuscitation Program

The NRP is an 8-hour, interactive program that introduces the concepts and skills of neonatal resuscitation and builds on the knowledge gained by reading the Neonatal Resuscitation Textbook. This program includes little or no lecture about textbook contend. Rather, it uses course time for hands-on skills training, simulation-based learning, and debriefing exercises with the neonatal resuscitation team.

The text has nine chapters lessons as well as a DVD. It must be read in its entirety prior to attending the one-day workshop. Each participant must complete the online NRP exam prior to attending the workshop. Proof of successful completion of the exam must be brought to the one-day workshop in order to obtain a certification card.

The online NRP exam must be taken no more than 30 days prior to the course date. Participants must finish testing within 14 days of their original start date of the online exam. If the online exam is completed more than 30 days before the course date, then the examination is invalid and the participant must pay to take it again.

All participants are responsible for ordering their course textbook. It is available online from the CPS Bookstore.

Cost for the course does not include the online exam and text book.
